— What is All-on-X?

A full-arch solution for
missing or failing teeth. Supported by carefully placed dental implants.

If you have lost most or all of your teeth, or your dentures no longer feel secure, All-on-X may be a suitable treatment option.

This approach uses a small number of dental implants to support a fixed set of replacement teeth. The aim is to help restore chewing function, comfort, and the appearance of your smile, with treatment carefully planned around your individual needs, oral health, and suitability.

"Every patient's treatment journey is different. A consultation is required to assess suitability, treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes."

Amanda

Amanda's lower dentures kept slipping for two years. After a free consultation, she chose All-on-X — and now eats and smiles with comfort.

Marah

Marah wanted fixed teeth on both arches. She chose upper and lower All-on-X bridges under sedation, with CGF (her own blood) used to support healing.

Peter

Peter had loose and missing teeth. After a free consultation with Dr Rashi, he chose dental implants for a permanent, natural result.

Ryan

Ryan chose All-on-X under general anaesthesia at Geelong Sleep Dentistry — a calm option for patients with dental anxiety.

Marie

Marie wanted out of her loose upper dentures. She chose a fixed bridge supported by five upper implants — fixed in place, no flopping around.

Mark

Mark's All-on-X fixed bridge with Dr Rashi was a multi-stage process — careful planning, then a result that supports natural chewing.

Michael

Michael's case was planned around his individual situation. A fixed bridge that doesn't move — the next-best thing to natural teeth, for many patients.

Mary

For Mary, six implants were the right number based on her assessment. The bridge also supports her lip, helping her natural smile aesthetics.

Kyle

Kyle had pain and felt his smile undermined his confidence. He chose full-arch implants under general anaesthesia. He loves his new smile.

— Norlane Dental · The Patient Journey

Seven moments,
one new smile.

From the day you sit down with us, to the years that follow — your All-on-X journey, told in seven chapters.

Day One · 60 minutes

And it begins, simply, with a conversation. Not a sales pitch. Not a treatment plan written before we've even met. An hour, sat across from our team, telling us what brought you here.

We review your medical history. We take a 3D CBCT scan to see what's actually going on. We talk through what's possible, what isn't, and why. You leave with a written, personalised plan — and absolutely no obligation to ever come back.

i. The First Conversation
The following weeks · 1 hour

If you decide to go ahead, we begin the design work. Not implant placement — your smile. Photographs. 3D scans. Conversations about what you want your teeth to look like. Width, length, shade, the way your lip sits. The details that matter.

Your Treatment Coordinator becomes the person who knows you by name. Books your appointments. Knows your story.

ii. Designing Your Smile
Surgery Day · A turning point

Then, the day itself. Performed at Geelong Sleep Dentistry, our partner facility, usually under general anaesthetic. Any remaining teeth are gently removed. The implants are placed. The foundation for your new smile is laid.

You won't remember any of it. By the time you wake, the difficult part is already behind you.

iii. The Day Itself
24 – 48 hours later

Within two days, you return for your temporary fixed teeth — already designed, already waiting. The first time you see your new smile in a mirror is a moment we never tire of witnessing.

You walk out with teeth in place. From this day on, it's a matter of healing.

iv. Your First Smile
1–2 weeks · or 6 months

The final set arrives. For the acrylic option, within a week or two. For zirconia — the premium "celebrity teeth" — after the full healing period, around six months. Stitches removed. Final photographs. The smile you came for, fitted properly.

v. The Final Set
3 & 6 months

At three months, your bridge is relined for an even better fit — by which point healing is around 80% complete. At six months, a full check-up and clean. We make sure everything is exactly as it should be.

vi. Healing Reviews
Every six months · always

And then, simply — the long arc of care. Like real teeth, implants need looking after. Six-monthly check-ups. The same Treatment Coordinator. The same clinical team. The same independent practice that's been here since 1974.

A new smile is not the end of the journey. It is, for many of our patients, the beginning of one.

vii. For Life

Three options to suit your goals.

From an essential, functional option to a high-end Hollywood smile. Each option uses different materials and aftercare. Your Treatment Coordinator walks you through which is right for you.

— Sedation Options

You can be asleep for the surgery.

For patients with dental anxiety, or anyone who prefers to be asleep, we offer two options.

Sedation is provided through our partnership with Geelong Sleep Dentistry — a modern day surgery centre with qualified anaesthetists on-site. Sedation suitability is assessed separately by the anaesthetist.

Option 1 — Local Anaesthetic

In the chair, in our surgery. You're awake but the area is fully numb.

Option 2 — General Anaesthetic

You're fully asleep. Done at our Sleep Dentistry facility, with a qualified anaesthetist. Anaesthetic fees are claimable on Medicare and most health insurance.

Some health conditions (BMI 39+, sleep apnoea, weight over 140kg) may rule out sedation. We assess each patient individually.

— Frequently Asked Questions

Simple answers.

What are All-on-X dental implants?
All-on-X is a way of replacing a full row of missing teeth using just four titanium screws (called implants) placed into your jaw. A complete set of new teeth is then attached on top. They look natural, feel like your own, and stay in place when you eat or smile.
How long do they last?
With good care and regular check-ups, dental implants can last for many, many years. The success rate over 10 years is 92–95%. The bridge on top may need replacing or refurbishing eventually — depending on the material chosen.
Will it hurt?
During surgery, no. You'll have either local anaesthetic (area numbed) or general anaesthetic (you're asleep). After surgery, some discomfort and swelling is normal for a few days — managed with pain medication. We use CGF (your own blood) to speed up healing, and we give you long-acting anaesthetic at the end. Most patients describe it as much easier than expected.
How long does the whole thing take?
The actual surgery is one day. You'll get temporary teeth fitted within 24–48 hours. The final teeth come 1–2 weeks later (acrylic) or after 6 months (zirconia). Full healing — when the bone has fully bonded with the implants — takes 3–6 months.
Am I a good candidate?
Most people who have lost most or all of their teeth and are in good general health are candidates. We need enough jaw bone to hold the implants. We confirm this with a 3D scan during your free consultation. We'll tell you honestly if All-on-X isn't right for you, and discuss other options if needed.
Can I eat normally afterwards?
After healing, yes — you can eat most foods. The implants give strong, stable support, very similar to natural teeth. During healing, you'll need a softer diet for a few months while the bone bonds with the implants.
Will my new teeth look natural?
Yes. Your new teeth are custom-designed to match the shape, size, and colour you want. Most patients can't tell their new teeth from real ones. With zirconia (premium option), they look so natural these are sometimes called "celebrity teeth".
What if I don't have enough bone in my jaw?
In some cases we can use a bone graft to build up the area before placing implants. The All-on-X technique is also designed to use whatever bone you have — by placing the back implants at an angle. We'll know more after your 3D scan.
Are these removable like dentures?
No. Unlike dentures, All-on-X teeth are permanently attached. They don't come out at night. They don't need adhesives. They stay in place — like real teeth.
Can I do upper and lower jaw at the same time?
Yes, both jaws can be done. If you're having sedation, we'll usually try to do both at the same appointment, though sometimes two separate appointments are needed depending on the case.
Can smokers have All-on-X?
Yes, but smoking does increase the risk of complications and can affect how well the implants integrate. We strongly recommend stopping smoking before and after surgery for the best result.
Does insurance cover this?
Coverage varies by health fund and policy. We are a "first provider" with the major Australian health funds, and we'll claim on the spot via HICAPS. Anaesthetic fees can be claimed through Medicare. We'll help you understand what your fund will contribute before you commit.
What happens at the free consultation?
A 60-minute appointment with our team. We do a clinical exam, take a 3D CBCT scan, review your medical history, and discuss whether All-on-X is right for you. You meet a Treatment Coordinator who walks you through your personalised plan. You leave with a personalised written quote — and no obligation to go ahead.
— Case Diagnosis

Every smile begins
with a careful diagnosis.

No two mouths are alike. Before we ever discuss treatment, we invest the time in understanding exactly what's happening — clinically, structurally, and personally.

01

Clinical Examination

A thorough examination of every tooth, gum and bite — checking for infection, mobility, function and aesthetic concerns.

02

3D CBCT Imaging

A high-resolution 3D scan reveals bone density, nerve positioning, sinus proximity — everything we need to plan implant placement with precision.

03

Medical & Lifestyle Review

Your overall health, medications, and habits all influence treatment planning. We review them together — honestly, in detail.

04

Bite & Occlusion Analysis

Understanding how your teeth meet — and how forces distribute through your jaw — guides every decision about implant angles and prosthetic design.

05

Aesthetic Smile Design

Photographs from every angle, smile-line analysis, and a visual mock-up of your future smile — designed before a single tooth is touched.

06

Personalised Written Plan

A detailed, written treatment plan you take home — covering all options, all timelines, and a transparent, personalised quote.

If All-on-X is not the right path for you, we will tell you so — and discuss what is. Our diagnostic process exists to find the right answer, not to sell a treatment.
